IT is playing an important role in the growth of the country today and DD & DNH is extending participation as one of the major players in the IT sector within all UT of the country. The Department of Information Technology is also the guiding force for other departments of the state for the usage and deployment of Technology-enabled services for their benefits and benefits of their consumers.
The department, with a goal to take Information Technology to the entire State released its IT Policy in the Year 2019 focusing on IT/ITeS Industry/Hub set up within UT. This policy aims to enforce the position of UT as an attractive destination for the IT/ITeS industry, enhance citizen services through e-Governance & m-governance model & give a special focus on Start-Ups & budding Entrepreneurs to flourish in the UT. The Department of Information Technology has been created for evolving suitable IT program with the basic philosophy to realize the dream of taking the benefits of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to the masses of DNH & DD.
